Roll a Fisherman Rebirth

Why Rebirth exists

In Roll a Fisherman, Rebirth is the prestige button that turns a pile of Cash into permanent-feeling multipliers and capacity. Without it, you eventually plateau: Dock full of okay fishermen, Stand capped, offline timer too short, rolls feeling sticky. Rebirth is how FISH X SPEEDI resets the ceiling so the same loop — Dock → fish → Stand → Cash — scales into mid and late game.

This page uses observed values from September/October 2026 gameplay. Treat every non-code number as subject to hotfixes. Cross-check live UI before you dump a legendary hire one click before the button lights up. For the wider plan, see Getting Started and income tuning in Fish Income.

Observed Rebirth requirements

Rebirth stepObserved requirementWhat players noticed

Exact intermediate steps can shift after patches listed on Updates. If your button shows a different figure, trust the client and tell Discord — then keep grinding.

First Rebirth rewards (observed)

Hitting the first 100k Rebirth was observed to grant:

  • 1.5x money multiplier
  • Higher offline earnings max time
  • Improved rolling luck
  • Dock expansion (more fisherman slots)
  • +1 fish slot for Stand-side capacity

That bundle is why this wiki pushes first Rebirth so hard in beginner advice. A 1.5x money tick plus more Dock slots usually beats owning one extra B-tier hire while stuck at 1.0x with a cramped board. Rolling luck also makes post-Rebirth Spins from daily play and leftover codes more likely to hit units you actually keep — see How to Roll.

When to Rebirth (decision rules)

Rebirth now if:

  • You can pay the Cash cost without selling your only good Dock carry
  • Your Dock is already full of the best units you can equip (Equip Best looks “done”)
  • Stand income feels capped by slots or multiplier, not by empty boards
  • You are within striking distance and tempted to buy a lateral upgrade that does not beat your worst slot

Wait a bit if:

  • One hire (for example Angler Mia early, or Pirate Pete mid) clearly replaces a Homeless/Rookie dead slot and you will still reach the threshold this session
  • You are missing a non-Cash objective (squid/orca style requirements on later Rebirths) — farm that first
  • A code wave or update event is minutes away and you want Spins/Gold before prestiging (check Codes and Updates)

Banking strategy

Cash has two honest sinks: fishermen and Rebirth. Gold should not be confused into this — Gold buys Fishing Speed, Catch Luck, Mutation Luck, Roll Luck, and mutations. Keep currencies in their lanes.

Practical bank tips:

  1. After codes, sketch a target: “100k then Rebirth” for brand-new accounts.
  2. Only approve Cash spends that raise Cash/minute enough to repay themselves before the threshold.
  3. Use the Tier List so you do not call a C-tier dupe a “need.”
  4. When the UI shows you at ~70–80% of the cost, stop shopping entirely and run clean Stand loops.
  5. After Rebirth, immediately Equip Best, fill new Dock slots, and restock the Stand — empty expansion wastes the reward.

Mid and late Rebirth mindset

Past the first prestige, costs jump into millions and eventually toward the observed ~3.75M, ~150M+, and ~3B displays. At those tiers your fishermen targets shift toward Dr. Bob, Clown Timmy, Coral Zoey, Cloud9, and eventually Sea Commander (~750M observed hire). Do not Rebirth-starve yourself forever either — sitting on 90% of a threshold while flexing Cash in chat helps no one.

Special catch requirements (squid/orca style) mean Fish Income and luck upgrades matter for Rebirth gates, not only raw Cash. Mutation Luck and Coral Zoey’s half mutation Gold angle can matter in this band; see Players.

Rebirth vs scripts

Some automation tools advertise Auto Rebirth. That is convenient and also a ban vector. If you play fair, you do not need it — the button is one click when requirements are met. If you still research macros, read the risk framing on Scripts first and never test on an account you care about.

Post-Rebirth checklist

  1. Confirm money multiplier and new slot counts in the UI
  2. Run Equip Best and manually fix any obvious mis-slots
  3. Spend leftover Spins with the new rolling luck
  4. Put Gold into Roll Luck / Catch Luck if you just unlocked harder fish goals
  5. Set a new Cash target for the next observed threshold
  6. Skim Updates so you are not planning around a nerfed number

Common mistakes

  • Spending down to 20k at “almost 100k” for a cosmetic flex hire
  • Rebirthing with empty new Dock slots for ten minutes while you AFK
  • Ignoring non-Cash objectives on later Rebirths
  • Treating observed wiki numbers as patch-proof contracts
  • Skipping Stand optimization so each Rebirth takes twice as long as it should

Master Rebirth timing and every other guide on the Guides Hub gets easier — multipliers make good habits louder and bad habits expensive.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

How much Cash is the first Rebirth?

Observed at 100,000 Cash from September/October 2026 play. Always confirm in your client.

What does the first Rebirth give?

Observed rewards include 1.5x money, longer offline max time, better rolling luck, Dock expansion, and +1 fish slot.

Should I buy fishermen right before Rebirth?

Only if they clearly beat your worst Dock slot and you can still hit the threshold this session. Otherwise bank Cash.

Why do later Rebirths mention squid or orca?

Later observed requirements mixed large Cash totals with special catch objectives. Farm those fish before waiting on Cash alone.

Do multipliers stack forever?

Each Rebirth adds progression power, but exact stacking rules can change with updates — verify on the live Rebirth panel.
