Fishermen on the Dock catch fish. Fish on the Stand generate Cash. If your Dock looks stacked but your wallet crawls, the Stand is usually the problem: weak fish left equipped, full slots blocking upgrades, or a messy logout that wastes offline time.

The income pipeline

1. Fisherman occupies a Dock slot and fishes over time (Fishing Speed and Catch Luck matter).
2. You collect fish into inventory / holding.
3. You place fish onto Stand slots.
4. Stand fish tick Cash.
5. You collect Cash and either spend or bank toward Rebirth.

How to place fish on the Stand

Exact button labels can shift slightly after UI patches, but the flow stays consistent:

1. Collect fish from your Dock workers.
2. Open the Stand / fish placement UI.
3. Select a higher-value fish from what you are holding.
4. Place it into an empty Stand slot — or replace a weaker fish already generating.
5. Confirm Cash is moving after a short wait; if not, you placed into a non-active state or need to collect differently.

When Rebirth grants +1 fish slot (observed on the first 100k Rebirth), fill the new slot immediately. An empty premium slot is free money refused.

Replace weak earners without sentiment

Every Stand slot should answer: is this the best fish I currently own for Cash/minute? If not, swap.

Replacement rules of thumb:

• Starter or tiny fish that were fine at minute five should not survive minute fifty.
• When a fisherman upgrade changes what you catch, revisit the Stand the same session — not “tomorrow.”
• Duplicates of a mediocre fish rarely beat one strong fish plus one flexible slot for a newer catch.
• If you are saving for Rebirth, prefer Stand swaps (usually free structurally) over Cash hires that delay 100k.

Online Cash/minute habits

Active sessions win by shortening dead time:

• Keep Dock busy (no empty slots if you own spares).
• Collect fish on a rhythm instead of once every ten minutes when caps might waste catch progress.
• Collect Cash often enough that you notice plateaus — plateaus mean Stand or Dock quality issues.
• After any roll batch, Equip Best, then reassess whether new catch quality should change Stand composition.
• Push Fishing Speed with Gold when online time is limited; Catch Luck when you need better fish quality for Stand upgrades or later Rebirth objectives (squid/orca style goals).

Offline prep (do this every logout)

Offline earnings are confirmed. Treat logout like arming a machine:

1. Equip Best on the Dock.
2. Fill every Dock slot you unlocked (Rebirth expansions included).
3. Put the strongest available fish on every Stand slot.
4. Collect loose Cash so you do not sit oddly capped.
5. Optionally spend Spins you will not think about tomorrow — unused Spins do not fish while you sleep.
6. Leave.

Players who logout mid-tutorial UI or with Homeless-only Boards awake to crumbs. Players who logout on a clean post-Rebirth board awake closer to the next threshold.

How Rebirth multiplies this guide

First Rebirth (observed 100k Cash) brings 1.5x money, longer offline cap, rolling luck, Dock expansion, and +1 fish slot. Income guides that ignore Rebirth under-sell the biggest legal multiplier available to fair players. When your Stand is optimized and Cash still crawls, you are probably waiting on that 1.5x more than on another B-tier hire.

Later Rebirths observed near ~3.75M, ~150M+ with special fish goals, and ~3B displays change how greedy you should be about Stand quality — rare catches stop being flex and start being gate keys.
